Baccarat Procedures
Baccarat is played with 8 decks of cards. Cards which are valued under 10 are counted at their printed number while at the same time ten, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each given a value of 1. Wagers are placed upon the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual persons; they purely appear as the two hands to be given out).
Two hands of 2 cards shall then be dealt to the ‘banker’ and ‘player’. The score for every hand is the sum total of the two cards, but the first digit is discarded. For e.g., a hand of seven … 5 will have a value of two (7plusfive=12; drop the ‘1′).
A third card may be dealt depending on the foll. rules:
- If the player or banker has a tally of 8 or 9, the two players stand.
- If the bettor has 5 or less, he hits. gamblers stand otherwise.
- If player stands, the banker hits of 5 or less. If the bettor hits, a chart is used to judge if the banker stands or hits.
Baccarat Odds
The greater of the two scores is the winner. Winning wagers on the banker pay at 19 to 20 (even money less a five % commission. Commission is followed closely and cleared out when you leave the table so ensure that you have cash left over before you leave). Winning bets on the player pay one to 1. Winning bets for tie as a rule pay out 8 to one and occasionally nine to one. (This is a bad gamble as ties occur lower than one every ten hands. Definitely don’t try placing bets on a tie. Nonetheless odds are substantially better – 9 to 1 versus eight to one)
Played properly, baccarat offers generally decent odds, away from the tie bet ofcourse.
Baccarat Strategy
As with every games, Baccarat has some well-known misconceptions. One of which is very similar to a roulette misconception. The past is never actually a predictor of future happenings. Tracking of prior results on a chart is undoubtedly a total waste of paper and a slap in the face for the tree that gave its life to be used as our stationary.
The most popular and possibly most successful method is the 1-3-2-six method. This schema is used to maximize winnings and limiting risk.
start by gambling 1 unit. If you win, add one more to the 2 on the table for a total of three on the second bet. If you win you will have six on the table, take away 4 so you have two on the third wager. If you win the 3rd wager, add two to the four on the table for a sum of 6 on the fourth gamble.
If you lose on the 1st bet, you take a loss of 1. A win on the first bet followed by loss on the second brings about a loss of two. Wins on the 1st two with a loss on the 3rd gives you a profit of two. And wins on the first three with a loss on the 4th mean you breakeven. Winning at all four bets leaves you with twelve, a profit of 10. This means that you can lose the 2nd bet 5 times for every successful streak of 4 bets and still break even.
