Baccarat Standards

Baccarat is played with eight decks of cards. Cards that are valued less than ten are valued at their printed number while at the same time 10, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each applied a value of 1. Wagers are placed on the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual contenders; they simply portray the two hands to be played).

2 hands of 2 cards are then given to the ‘banker’ and ‘player’. The value for every hand is the grand total of the two cards, but the first digit is dropped. For e.g., a hand of 7 as well as five will have a value of two (sevenplus5=12; drop the ‘1′).

A 3rd card could be played depending on the following regulations:

- If the gambler or banker has a total of eight or 9, both players stand.

- If the gambler has 5 or less, he/she hits. gamblers stand otherwise.

- If bettor stands, the banker hits of five or less. If the bettor hits, a chart shall be used in order to see if the banker stands or hits.

Baccarat Odds

The greater of the 2 scores will be the winner. Victorious wagers on the banker pay nineteen to 20 (even money minus a five percent commission. Commission is tracked and cleared out when you leave the table so make sure you have dollars still before you leave). Winning bets on the player pay one to 1. Winner bets for tie typically pay 8 to one but sometimes nine to one. (This is an awful bet as ties will happen lower than 1 every ten hands. Avoid betting on a tie. Nonetheless odds are generously better – 9 to 1 versus 8 to one)

When done accurately, baccarat provides generally good odds, apart from the tie bet of course.

Baccarat Strategy

As with all games, Baccarat has some common myths. 1 of which is similar to a roulette misconception. The past is surely not an actual indicator of future outcomes. Keeping track of previous results on a chart is definitely a waste of paper … an insult to the tree that gave its life to be used as our stationary.

The most popular and possibly most successful tactic is the one-3-2-six concept. This plan is used to maximize profits and reducing risk.

commence by betting one unit. If you win, add one more to the 2 on the table for a total of three on the 2nd bet. If you win you will have 6 on the table, remove 4 so you have two on the 3rd gamble. If you win the 3rd bet, add two to the four on the table for a total of 6 on the fourth bet.

If you don’t win on the initial wager, you suck up a loss of 1. A win on the first bet quickly followed by loss on the second creates a loss of two. Wins on the first 2 with a loss on the 3rd gives you a profit of 2. And wins on the first 3 with a loss on the fourth mean you come out even. Winning at all four bets leaves you with twelve, a profit of ten. In other words you can lose the 2nd bet 5 times for every successful streak of 4 bets and still break even.
