Baccarat Regulations
Punto banco is enjoyed with 8 decks of cards in a dealing shoe. Cards below ten are valued at their printed number and with 10, J, Q, K are zero, and Ace is one. Wagers are placed on the ‘banker’, the ‘player’, or on a tie (these aren’t really people; they simply represent the 2 hands to be dealt).
Two cards are given to both the ‘house’ and ‘gambler’. The value for each hand is the total of the cards, however the beginning digit is dropped. For instance, a hand of five and six has a value of one (5 plus six = eleven; drop the 1st ‘1′).
A 3rd card may be dealt based on the rules below:
- If the gambler or house gets a total of eight or nine, both players hold.
- If the gambler has five or lower, she takes a card. Players otherwise stay.
- If the gambler stays, the bank hits on five or less. If the gambler hits, a guide is used to determine if the banker holds or takes a card.

Baccarat Banque Scheme
