Baccarat Protocols
Baccarat is played with eight decks of cards in a shoe. Cards with less than a value of ten are said to be worth their printed value while ten, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each given a value of 1. Wagers are placed upon the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual gamblers; they simply act as the two hands to be dealt).
Two hands of two cards are then dealt to the ‘banker’ as well as ‘player’. The score for any hand will be the sum of the two cards, but the 1st digit is dropped. For eg, a hand of 7 and five has a tally of two (sevenplus5=twelve; drop the ‘1′).
A third card may be given depending on the following standards:
- If the gambler or banker has a total of 8 or 9, each gamblers stand.
- If the player has five or lower, he hits. bettors stand otherwise.
- If player stands, the banker hits of 5 or less. If the bettor hits, a chart is used to ascertain if the banker stands or hits.
Baccarat Odds
The bigger of the 2 scores is the winner. Victorious stakes on the banker payout nineteen to 20 (even money minus a five percent commission. Commission is tracked and paid out when you leave the table so make sure that you have cash left over before you leave). Bets on the player that end up winning pay one to 1. Winning bets for tie generally pays eight to 1 and on occasion nine to 1. (This is a terrible wager as ties happen less than one every 10 hands. Stay away from placing bets on a tie. Regardless odds are significantlly better – nine to one versus 8 to 1)
When played smartly, baccarat provides pretty good odds, away from the tie wager ofcourse.
Baccarat Strategy
As with just about all games, Baccarat has some established misconceptions. One of which is close to a roulette misconception. The past is surely not an indicator of future happenings. Tracking of previous conclusions on a chart is simply a waste of paper as well as an insult to the tree that gave its life for our stationary needs.
The most commonly used and feasibly most successful strategy is the 1-three-two-six method. This tactic is employed to amplify successes and limiting risk.
start by wagering one unit. If you win, add 1 more to the 2 on the table for a total of three on the second bet. If you win you will have six on the table, remove 4 so you have two on the 3rd bet. If you win the third wager, add two to the 4 on the table for a total of six on the fourth gamble.
If you lose on the initial bet, you suck up a loss of 1. A win on the first bet followed by loss on the second will create a loss of 2. Wins on the first two with a loss on the 3rd gives you a profit of two. And wins on the first three with a loss on the 4th mean you breakeven. A win on all four bets leaves you with twelve, a profit of ten. In other words you can fail to win the 2nd bet 5 times for every successful streak of 4 bets and still break even.
