Baccarat Rules

Baccarat is played with 8 decks of cards. Cards with less than a value of ten are valued at face value while at the same time ten, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each applied a value of 1. Bets are placed upon the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual gamblers; they just symbolize the 2 hands to be given out).

Two hands of two cards shall then be given out to the ‘banker’ and ‘player’. The value for any hand will be the sum of the two cards, but the first digit is dropped. For e.g., a hand of seven and 5 gives a value of 2 (sevenplusfive=12; drop the ‘1′).

A 3rd card could be given out depending on the foll. guidelines:

- If the gambler or banker has a total score of 8 or 9, each gamblers stand.

- If the gambler has 5 or less, he hits. gamblers stand otherwise.

- If bettor stands, the banker hits of five or less. If the gambler hits, a chart shall be used to figure if the banker stands or hits.

Baccarat Odds

The higher of the two scores will be the winner. Victorious stakes on the banker pay 19 to twenty (even odds minus a 5% commission. Commission is followed closely and moved out when you leave the table so ensure you have dollars left over before you leave). Winning bets on the player pay 1 to one. Winning bets for tie generally pays 8 to 1 but on occasion 9 to 1. (This is a bad wager as ties will occur lower than one every 10 hands. Stay away from putting money on a tie. However odds are considerably better – 9 to one vs. eight to 1)

Played effectively, baccarat offers pretty good odds, aside from the tie bet of course.

Baccarat Strategy

As with just about every games, Baccarat has some common misconceptions. One of which is very similar to a roulette myth. The past is never actually a predictor of future outcomes. Keeping track of old results on a chart is simply a waste of paper as well as an insult to the tree that gave its life for our stationary needs.

The most established and feasibly most successful strategy is the one-three-two-six method. This scheme is employed to build up profits and lowering risk.

start by gambling one unit. If you win, add one more to the 2 on the table for a total of three on the second bet. If you win you will have 6 on the table, take away 4 so you have 2 on the 3rd bet. If you win the third bet, add 2 to the 4 on the table for a value of six on the 4th wager.

If you lose on the initial wager, you suck up a loss of 1. A win on the 1st bet followed up by loss on the 2nd will create a loss of 2. Wins on the 1st 2 with a loss on the 3rd gives you a profit of two. And wins on the first three with a loss on the 4th mean you break even. A win on all four bets leaves you with twelve, a profit of ten. In other words you can lose the 2nd bet 5 times for every successful streak of four bets and still break even.
