Baccarat Protocols
Baccarat is played with 8 decks of cards in a shoe. Cards which are valued under 10 are valued at face value while at the same time 10, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each given a value of 1. Wagers are placed upon the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual gamblers; they simply appear as the 2 hands to be given out).
Two hands of 2 cards shall then be given out to the ‘banker’ … ‘player’. The value for each hand is the grand total of the 2 cards, but the 1st digit is dropped. For e.g., a hand of seven … five produces a total score of two (7plusfive=12; drop the ‘1′).
A 3rd card can be dealt depending on the foll. protocols:
- If the player or banker has a score of eight or nine, both players stand.
- If the player has 5 or lower, he/she hits. bettors stand otherwise.
- If bettor stands, the banker hits of 5 or lower. If the bettor hits, a chart might be used to figure if the banker stands or hits.
Baccarat Odds
The greater of the 2 scores will be the winner. Victorious bets on the banker pay nineteen to twenty (even money minus a 5% commission. Commission is monitored and moved out when you leave the table so make sure that you have $$$$$ remaining before you leave). Bets on the player that end up winning pay one to one. Winning bets for tie usually pays out at eight to 1 and sometimes 9 to 1. (This is a bad wager as ties occur less than 1 every ten hands. Run away from betting on a tie. Nonetheless odds are significantlly better – nine to 1 versus 8 to 1)
When played correctly, baccarat offers pretty good odds, aside from the tie wager of course.
Baccarat Strategy
As with just about all games, Baccarat has some established false impressions. 1 of which is very similar to a roulette myth. The past is not an indicator of future happenings. Tracking of past conclusions on a chart is a waste of paper as well as an insult to the tree that gave its life for our stationary needs.
The most popular and feasibly most successful tactic is the one-3-two-six scheme. This technique is employed to build up payout and minimizing risk.
commence by betting 1 unit. If you win, add one more to the two on the table for a total of three on the 2nd bet. If you win you will have 6 on the table, subtract 4 so you have 2 on the third wager. If you win the third gamble, add two to the 4 on the table for a sum of six on the 4th bet.
If you don’t win on the initial bet, you suck up a loss of one. A win on the first bet quickly followed by loss on the 2nd will create a loss of 2. Wins on the 1st two with a loss on the 3rd gives you a profit of 2. And wins on the first 3 with a loss on the fourth mean you breakeven. Accomplishing a win on all four bets leaves you with 12, a profit of ten. Thus that you can lose the second bet 5 times for every successful streak of four bets and still break even.
