Baccarat Chemin de Fer Regulations

Baccarat chemin de fer is played with eight decks of cards in a dealer’s shoe. Cards under 10 are worth their printed number while 10, J, Q, K are zero, and Ace is one. Bets are placed on the ‘banker’, the ‘player’, or for a tie (these are not actual people; they just represent the two hands that are dealt).

Two cards are dealt to both the ‘house’ and ‘player’. The total for each hand is the sum of the cards, although the 1st number is dumped. For instance, a hand of five and six has a score of one (five plus 6 equals 11; ignore the first ‘1′).

A 3rd card may be given out depending on the rules below:

- If the player or bank achieves a total of eight or 9, the two players stand.

- If the gambler has less than 5, he takes a card. Players holds otherwise.

- If the player stays, the bank hits on a value lower than five. If the player takes a card, a chart is used to determine if the house holds or takes a card.

Punto Banco Odds

The better of the two totals wins. Winning wagers on the banker payout 19 to 20 (even payout minus a 5 percent rake. The Rake is recorded and cleared out once you leave the game so ensure you still have money left before you quit). Winning wagers on the player pays out at one to one. Winning wagers for a tie usually pays 8 to 1 but sometimes 9 to 1. (This is a poor wager as ties happen lower than 1 in every 10 rounds. Be wary of betting on a tie. However odds are astonishingly better for nine to one vs. 8 to 1)

Bet on properly baccarat offers relatively decent odds, aside from the tie wager of course.

Baccarat Scheme

As with all games baccarat chemin de fer has quite a few established myths. One of which is close to a misunderstanding in roulette. The past is not a prophecy of events yet to happen. Keeping score of previous results on a sheet of paper is a poor use of paper and an affront to the tree that gave its life for our stationary needs.

The most familiar and likely the most accomplished strategy is the 1-3-2-6 tactic. This plan is deployed to build up winnings and minimizing risk.

Start by betting one dollar. If you win, add 1 more to the 2 on the table for a grand total of three dollars on the second bet. If you succeed you will retain six on the game table, subtract 4 so you keep 2 on the third wager. Should you come away with a win on the third bet, add 2 to the four on the game table for a sum total of six on the fourth wager.

Should you don’t win on the first bet, you take a hit of one. A win on the first round followed by a loss on the 2nd causes a loss of 2. Wins on the initial two with a defeat on the third gives you with a take of 2. And success on the first 3 with a loss on the fourth means you balance the books. Winning all 4 bets gives you with 12, a take of 10. This means you will be able to squander the second wager five times for every favorable streak of 4 wagers and still balance the books.
