Baccarat Protocols

Baccarat is played with eight decks of cards in a shoe. Cards below a value of ten are worth their printed number while at the same time 10, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each given a value of 1. Wagers are placed upon the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual players; they purely depict the two hands to be given out).

2 hands of two cards shall then be given to the ‘banker’ and ‘player’. The score for any hand will be the sum of the two cards, but the first digit is discarded. For eg, a hand of seven and five produces a score of two (sevenplusfive=twelve; drop the ‘one’).

A 3rd card can be dealt depending on the following codes:

- If the gambler or banker has a score of eight or 9, the two players stand.

- If the bettor has 5 or less, he hits. gamblers stand otherwise.

- If player stands, the banker hits of 5 or lower. If the gambler hits, a chart is used to ascertain if the banker stands or hits.

Baccarat Odds

The bigger of the 2 scores wins. Successful wagers on the banker pay at nineteen to 20 (even odds less a 5 percent commission. Commission is kept track of and cleared out when you leave the table so make sure that you have money remaining before you leave). Winning bets on the player pay one to 1. Winner bets for tie typically pays 8 to one and sometimes nine to one. (This is a bad gamble as ties happen less than 1 every ten hands. Avoid laying money on a tie. Even so odds are considerably better – nine to 1 versus 8 to 1)

When done smartly, baccarat presents pretty good odds, aside from the tie wager ofcourse.

Baccarat Strategy

As with many games, Baccarat has some common misconceptions. 1 of which is quite similar to a misconception of roulette. The past is in no way an indicator of future actions. Tracking of historic conclusions on a chart is definitely a complete waste of paper as well as a slap in the face for the tree that gave its life for our stationary needs.

The most popular and almost certainly most successful strategy is the one-3-2-six method. This technique is employed to accentuate wins and reducing risk.

start by gambling 1 unit. If you win, add 1 more to the 2 on the table for a total of three on the 2nd bet. If you win you will have 6 on the table, clear away 4 so you have 2 on the third gamble. If you win the 3rd wager, add two to the four on the table for a sum of six on the fourth wager.

If you lose on the 1st bet, you suck up a loss of one. A win on the 1st bet quickly followed by loss on the 2nd brings about a loss of 2. Wins on the 1st two with a loss on the third gives you a profit of 2. And wins on the first 3 with a loss on the 4th mean you come out even. Getting a win on all four bets leaves you with twelve, a profit of 10. This means that you can lose the 2nd bet 5 times for every successful streak of four bets and still break even.
