Baccarat Rules
Baccarat is played with 8 decks of cards in a shoe. Cards that are valued under 10 are give a value of their printed number while ten, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each given a value of 1. Bets are placed on the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual contenders; they only symbolize the two hands to be given out).
Two hands of 2 cards will now be dealt to the ‘banker’ and ‘player’. The value for every hand will be the sum total of the two cards, but the first digit is removed. For eg, a hand of seven … 5 will have a score of two (7plusfive=12; drop the ‘one’).
A 3rd card might be dealt depending on the foll. standards:
- If the gambler or banker has a tally of eight or nine, each gamblers stand.
- If the bettor has five or lower, he hits. gamblers stand otherwise.
- If player stands, the banker hits of five or lesser. If the gambler hits, a chart will be used to determine if the banker stands or hits.
Baccarat Odds
The greater of the two scores is the winner. Successful stakes on the banker pay at nineteen to 20 (even money minus a 5 percent commission. Commission is followed closely and paid out when you leave the table so ensure you have cash remaining before you leave). Winning bets on the player pay 1 to one. Winning bets for tie typically pays eight to one and sometimes 9 to 1. (This is a bad wager as ties will occur lower than 1 every 10 hands. Run away from laying money on a tie. Even so odds are far better – nine to 1 vs. eight to one)
When played properly, baccarat provides fairly decent odds, apart from the tie bet of course.
Baccarat Strategy
As with most games, Baccarat has some established false impressions. One of which is quite similar to a roulette misconception. The past is in no way an actual indicator of future happenings. Keeping track of old results on a chart is undoubtedly a total waste of paper as well as a slap in the face for the tree that gave its life to be used as our stationary.
The most established and feasibly most successful strategy is the one-three-2-6 technique. This method is used to build up earnings and limiting risk.
start by betting one unit. If you win, add one more to the 2 on the table for a total of three on the second bet. If you win you will have 6 on the table, clear away 4 so you have two on the 3rd bet. If you win the third gamble, add 2 to the four on the table for a sum total of six on the fourth gamble.
If you don’t win on the initial wager, you take a loss of 1. A win on the first bet followed by loss on the second will create a loss of 2. Wins on the first 2 with a loss on the 3rd gives you a profit of 2. And wins on the first three with a loss on the 4th mean you break even. Coming away with a win on all four bets leaves you with 12, a profit of ten. This means that you can get beaten the 2nd bet 5 times for every successful streak of four bets and still break even.
