Baccarat Rules

Baccarat is played with eight decks of cards in a shoe. Cards of a value less than 10 are give a value of face value while ten, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each given a value of 1. Bets are placed upon the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual gamblers; they merely act as the two hands to be given out).

2 hands of 2 cards will now be given out to the ‘banker’ as well as ‘player’. The score for each hand will be the sum total of the two cards, but the first digit is removed. For example, a hand of seven … five will have a value of two (7plus5=12; drop the ‘one’).

A third card could be played depending on the following rules:

- If the player or banker has a value of eight or nine, the two gamblers stand.

- If the player has 5 or less, he/she hits. Players stand otherwise.

- If bettor stands, the banker hits of five or less. If the bettor hits, a chart is used to decide if the banker stands or hits.

Baccarat Odds

The larger of the two scores will be the winner. Winning wagers on the banker pay out nineteen to 20 (even money minus a 5 percent commission. Commission is monitored and moved out when you leave the table so ensure you have $$$$$ still before you leave). Bets on the player that end up winning pay 1 to 1. Winner bets for tie normally pays out at eight to one but occasionally 9 to one. (This is not a good bet as ties will happen lower than one every ten hands. Avoid putting money on a tie. Even so odds are thoroughly better – nine to 1 vs. 8 to one)

When done properly, baccarat provides fairly good odds, away from the tie bet obviously.

Baccarat Tactics

As with many games, Baccarat has some established false impressions. 1 of which is very similar to a roulette misconception. The past is in no way an indicator of future outcomes. Tracking of past results on a chart is undoubtedly a waste of paper and an insult to the tree that gave its life for our stationary needs.

The most popular and probably most successful technique is the 1-three-2-six scheme. This schema is deployed to amplify wins and reducing risk.

start by betting 1 unit. If you win, add one more to the two on the table for a total of three on the 2nd bet. If you win you will have 6 on the table, remove 4 so you have two on the 3rd wager. If you win the third gamble, add two to the four on the table for a total of 6 on the fourth gamble.

If you lose on the 1st wager, you take a loss of one. A win on the first bet followed by loss on the 2nd brings about a loss of 2. Wins on the 1st two with a loss on the third gives you a profit of 2. And wins on the first three with a loss on the fourth mean you come out even. Accomplishing a win on all four bets leaves you with twelve, a profit of 10. In other words you can lose the second bet 5 times for every successful streak of four bets and still break even.
