Baccarat Rules

Baccarat is played with 8 decks of cards in a shoe. Cards with less than a value of 10 are counted at face value while ten, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each given a value of 1. Bets are placed on the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual players; they purely appear as the two hands to be dealt).

2 hands of two cards will then be dealt to the ‘banker’ … ‘player’. The total for each hand is the sum total of the two cards, but the first digit is dumped. For e.g., a hand of 7 … five results in a tally of 2 (sevenplus5=twelve; drop the ‘1′).

A 3rd card might be dealt depending on the foll. guidelines:

- If the gambler or banker has a total of 8 or nine, each players stand.

- If the gambler has five or lower, he hits. bettors stand otherwise.

- If gambler stands, the banker hits of five or lesser. If the bettor hits, a chart might be used in order to figure if the banker stands or hits.

Baccarat Odds

The larger of the two scores wins. Winning stakes on the banker pay at nineteen to twenty (even odds minus a 5% commission. Commission is monitored and paid out when you leave the table so be sure to have cash left over before you leave). Bets on the player that end up winning pay 1 to one. Winner bets for tie as a rule pays out at eight to 1 and occasionally 9 to one. (This is a crazy wager as ties occur lower than one every ten hands. Avoid putting money on a tie. Nonetheless odds are vastly better – 9 to 1 versus eight to 1)

When played accurately, baccarat presents pretty decent odds, aside from the tie wager of course.

Baccarat Strategy

As with most games, Baccarat has some established misunderstandings. 1 of which is quite similar to a misconception of roulette. The past is in no way a predictor of future results. Tracking of previous results on a chart is for sure a complete waste of paper as well as an insult to the tree that gave its life for our stationary needs.

The most commonly used and almost certainly most successful strategy is the one-three-two-six technique. This technique is employed to pump up winnings and cutting back risk.

start by wagering one unit. If you win, add one more to the 2 on the table for a total of three on the 2nd bet. If you win you will have six on the table, remove 4 so you have 2 on the third gamble. If you win the third wager, add two to the 4 on the table for a sum total of 6 on the fourth bet.

If you lose on the 1st bet, you take a loss of one. A win on the first bet quickly followed by loss on the second will create a loss of 2. Wins on the 1st two with a loss on the third gives you a profit of 2. And wins on the first 3 with a loss on the fourth mean you come out even. Winning at all four bets leaves you with twelve, a profit of ten. This means you can fail to win the second bet 5 times for every successful streak of 4 bets and still break even.
