Baccarat Policies

Baccarat is played with 8 decks of cards in a shoe. Cards that are valued under 10 are said to be worth face value while at the same time ten, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each equal to 1. Bets are placed upon the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual people; they purely symbolize the 2 hands to be given out).

Two hands of 2 cards shall then be dealt to the ‘banker’ as well as ‘player’. The value for every hand shall be the grand total of the 2 cards, but the 1st digit is dumped. For e.g., a hand of 7 as well as five results in a score of 2 (sevenplusfive=twelve; drop the ‘1′).

A 3rd card may be given out depending on the following regulations:

- If the bettor or banker has a tally of 8 or nine, the two bettors stand.

- If the gambler has five or less, he/she hits. gamblers stand otherwise.

- If bettor stands, the banker hits of five or lower. If the player hits, a chart shall be used in order to judge if the banker stands or hits.

Baccarat Odds

The higher of the 2 scores is the winner. Successful stakes on the banker payout 19 to 20 (even odds less a 5% commission. Commission is followed closely and moved out when you leave the table so make sure you have cash left over before you leave). Bets on the player that end up winning pay 1 to 1. Winner bets for tie usually pays 8 to 1 but sometimes 9 to one. (This is a terrible wager as ties will happen lower than one every 10 hands. Definitely don’t try putting money on a tie. Still, odds are substantially better – nine to 1 vs. 8 to one)

When done properly, baccarat provides relatively decent odds, away from the tie bet obviously.

Baccarat Tactics

As with just about all games, Baccarat has some well-known myths. 1 of which is similar to a misconception of roulette. The past is in no way an indicator of future happenings. Staying abreast of previous results on a chart is a complete waste of paper … an insult to the tree that gave its life for our stationary needs.

The most popular and feasibly most successful strategy is the 1-3-2-6 method. This scheme is employed to magnify profits and cutting back risk.

Begin by wagering one unit. If you win, add 1 more to the two on the table for a total of three on the second bet. If you win you will have six on the table, subtract four so you have 2 on the third gamble. If you win the 3rd gamble, add two to the 4 on the table for a sum of six on the fourth wager.

If you lose on the 1st wager, you suck up a loss of 1. A win on the 1st bet quickly followed by loss on the second creates a loss of 2. Wins on the first 2 with a loss on the third gives you a profit of two. And wins on the first 3 with a loss on the 4th mean you come out even. Coming out on top on all four bets leaves you with twelve, a profit of 10. In other words that you can fail to win the second bet 5 times for every successful streak of 4 bets and still break even.
