Baccarat Protocols
Baccarat is played with 8 decks of cards in a shoe. Cards which are valued less than 10 are counted at face value whereas ten, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each equal to 1. Bets are placed on the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual people; they only portray the two hands to be dealt).
Two hands of 2 cards are then played to the ‘banker’ and ‘player’. The value for each hand will be the sum of the two cards, but the very first digit is dumped. For example, a hand of seven … five will have a score of 2 (7plusfive=twelve; drop the ‘1′).
A 3rd card might be played depending on the foll. guidelines:
- If the player or banker has a total of 8 or 9, both bettors stand.
- If the player has 5 or lower, he hits. Players stand otherwise.
- If gambler stands, the banker hits of 5 or lesser. If the bettor hits, a chart will be used in order to see if the banker stands or hits.
Baccarat Odds
The larger of the two scores is the winner. Victorious stakes on the banker payout 19 to 20 (even odds minus a 5% commission. Commission is tracked and moved out when you leave the table so make sure that you have $$$$$ left before you leave). Bets on the player that end up winning pay one to one. Winner bets for tie by and large pay 8 to 1 and sometimes 9 to 1. (This is a bad bet as ties will happen lower than 1 every 10 hands. Run away from placing bets on a tie. Regardless odds are somewhat better – 9 to 1 versus 8 to one)
When played smartly, baccarat provides fairly decent odds, away from the tie wager of course.
Baccarat Strategy
As with every games, Baccarat has some established myths. 1 of which is similar to a misconception of roulette. The past is not an actual indicator of future actions. Keeping track of previous outcomes on a chart is a waste of paper as well as an insult to the tree that gave its life to be used as our stationary.
The most established and feasibly most successful method is the 1-three-2-six concept. This tactic is used to pump up payout and controlling risk.
commence by gambling one unit. If you win, add 1 more to the two on the table for a total of 3 on the second bet. If you win you will have 6 on the table, subtract four so you have 2 on the third gamble. If you win the 3rd wager, add two to the 4 on the table for a sum of six on the 4th wager.
If you don’t win on the 1st bet, you take a loss of one. A win on the 1st bet followed by loss on the second causes a loss of 2. Wins on the 1st 2 with a loss on the 3rd gives you a profit of two. And wins on the first three with a loss on the fourth mean you breakeven. Winning at all four bets leaves you with 12, a profit of ten. In other words you can get beaten the 2nd bet 5 times for every successful streak of four bets and still break even.
