Baccarat Codes
Baccarat chemin de fer is wagered on with 8 decks of cards in a shoe. Cards below ten are counted at their printed number while 10, J, Q, K are zero, and A is 1. Wagers are made on the ‘banker’, the ‘player’, or for a tie (these aren’t really people; they just represent the 2 hands that are dealt).
Two cards are given to both the ‘bank’ and ‘player’. The score for each hand is the sum total of the two cards, but the beginning digit is ignored. For example, a hand of 5 and six has a value of 1 (five plus six = eleven; dump the first ‘one’).
A third card may be given using the following rules:
- If the gambler or banker gets a value of eight or 9, the two players stay.
- If the player has five or lower, he hits. Players otherwise stand.
- If the player holds, the house takes a card on a total lower than five. If the player hits, a chart is employed to figure out if the banker stays or takes a card.
Baccarat Odds
The greater of the 2 hands wins. Winning wagers on the house pay out 19 to 20 (even payout less a five percent commission. The Rake is tracked and cleared out once you leave the table so make sure you have funds remaining before you depart). Winning bets on the player pays out at 1 to 1. Winning wagers for tie typically pay 8:1 but occasionally 9:1. (This is a bad bet as ties happen less than 1 in every ten hands. Be cautious of wagering on a tie. However odds are astonishingly greater for 9:1 versus eight to one)
Played properly punto banco gives fairly decent odds, apart from the tie wager of course.
Baccarat Method
As with all games Baccarat has some accepted myths. One of which is the same as a false impression in roulette. The past isn’t a fore-teller of events about to happen. Keeping score of previous outcomes at a table is a waste of paper and a snub to the tree that was cut down for our paper needs.
The most accepted and possibly the most accomplished scheme is the one-three-two-six method. This technique is deployed to pump up earnings and minimizing losses.
Begin by wagering one chip. If you succeed, add one more to the two on the game table for a sum total of 3 units on the second bet. Should you win you will now have 6 on the game table, take away four so you are left with two on the third round. Should you win the 3rd wager, put down two on the four on the table for a grand total of 6 on the 4th wager.
If you lose on the first round, you take a loss of 1. A profit on the initial wager followed by a loss on the second brings about a hit of 2. Wins on the initial two with a hit on the 3rd gives you with a profit of two. And success on the initial 3 with a hit on the 4th means you break even. Succeeding at all four rounds gives you with 12, a gain of 10. This means you are able to lose the second round five instances for every successful streak of four bets and in the end, break even.
