Baccarat Banque Rules
Punto banco is enjoyed with eight decks in a dealer’s shoe. Cards below ten are counted at their printed value while at the same time 10, J, Q, K are zero, and A is one. Bets are placed on the ‘banker’, the ‘player’, or on a tie (these aren’t really people; they simply represent the two hands that are dealt).
Two hands of 2 cards are then dealt to the ‘house’ and ‘gambler’. The value for every hand is the sum total of the cards, but the 1st digit is dropped. For example, a hand of 5 and six has a total of one (five plus six = 11; dump the first ‘one’).
A third card can be dealt based on the following rules:
- If the player or house achieves a value of 8 or nine, the two players hold.
- If the player has five or less, he hits. Players otherwise stay.
- If the gambler stands, the house takes a card on 5 or less. If the gambler hits, a guide is employed to see if the bank stays or takes a card.
Baccarat Banque Odds
The larger of the 2 hands wins. Winning wagers on the bank payout 19:20 (equal cash minus a 5 percent commission. Commission are kept track of and paid off once you depart the game so make sure you have funds left just before you quit). Winning bets on the player pay 1:1. Winning wagers for tie typically pays 8 to 1 but on occasion 9 to 1. (This is a poor wager as ties happen less than one in every 10 hands. Be wary of wagering on a tie. However odds are substantially greater for nine to one vs. 8:1)
Wagered on properly baccarat offers relatively decent odds, apart from the tie bet of course.
Baccarat Strategy
As with all games Baccarat has a few accepted misunderstandings. One of which is similar to a absurdity in roulette. The past is not a prophecy of events about to happen. Keeping track of past results at a table is a poor use of paper and a snub to the tree that was cut down for our paper desires.
The most established and definitely the most favorable strategy is the one, three, two, six tactic. This method is used to maximize earnings and limit risk.
Start by wagering 1 unit. If you succeed, add 1 more to the two on the game table for a sum of three units on the second bet. If you succeed you will have 6 on the table, take away four so you keep 2 on the third bet. If you come away with a win on the 3rd wager, put down two to the four on the game table for a grand total of 6 on the 4th round.
Should you do not win on the initial round, you take a loss of 1. A profit on the 1st wager followed by a hit on the second creates a loss of 2. Wins on the first 2 with a defeat on the third provides you with a profit of 2. And wins on the initial 3 with a loss on the 4th means you balance the books. Succeeding at all four bets gives you with 12, a profit of 10. This means you will be able to lose the 2nd round 5 instances for each successful run of 4 rounds and in the end, break even.
