Baccarat Rules

Baccarat is played with 8 decks of cards. Cards than are of a value less than 10 are worth their printed value meanwhile ten, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each given a value of 1. Bets are placed on the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual people; they merely symbolize the two hands to be given out).

2 hands of 2 cards are then given out to the ‘banker’ as well as ‘player’. The total for each hand is the sum of the two cards, but the first digit is removed. For e.g., a hand of 7 and five gives a score of 2 (7plusfive=twelve; drop the ‘1′).

A third card might be played depending on the following codes:

- If the bettor or banker has a value of eight or 9, both players stand.

- If the gambler has five or lower, he/she hits. gamblers stand otherwise.

- If bettor stands, the banker hits of 5 or less. If the player hits, a chart is used in order to see if the banker stands or hits.

Baccarat Odds

The bigger of the two scores is the winner. Victorious bets on the banker payout 19 to 20 (even money minus a 5 percent commission. Commission is followed closely and moved out when you leave the table so be sure to have $$$$$ left before you leave). Bets on the player that end up winning pay one to one. Winner bets for tie normally pay 8 to 1 and on occasion nine to one. (This is an awful gamble as ties will happen lower than one every 10 hands. Avoid laying money on a tie. However odds are richly better – 9 to one vs. eight to one)

When done accurately, baccarat presents pretty decent odds, aside from the tie bet ofcourse.

Baccarat Tactics

As with all games, Baccarat has some common misunderstandings. One of which is very similar to a roulette myth. The past is in no way a predictor of future happenings. Staying abreast of old outcomes on a chart is simply a complete waste of paper … an insult to the tree that gave its life to be used as our stationary.

The most established and possibly most successful tactic is the 1-three-two-6 scheme. This schema is used to pump up payouts and lowering risk.

commence by betting one unit. If you win, add one more to the 2 on the table for a total of 3 on the 2nd bet. If you win you will have 6 on the table, clear away four so you have two on the 3rd gamble. If you win the third bet, add two to the 4 on the table for a grand total of six on the 4th gamble.

If you don’t win on the 1st wager, you take a loss of one. A win on the first bet followed up by loss on the second creates a loss of 2. Wins on the 1st 2 with a loss on the third gives you a profit of 2. And wins on the first three with a loss on the fourth mean you break even. A win on all four bets leaves you with 12, a profit of 10. In other words that you can fail to win the 2nd bet 5 times for every successful streak of four bets and still break even.
