Baccarat Regulations
Baccarat is played with eight decks of cards. Cards of a value less than ten are valued at their printed value while 10, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each applied a value of 1. Wagers are placed upon the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual players; they just depict the 2 hands to be given out).
2 hands of 2 cards are then given to the ‘banker’ as well as ‘player’. The value for every hand will be the sum total of the 2 cards, but the very first digit is dumped. For eg, a hand of seven and five gives a total of two (7plusfive=12; drop the ‘1′).
A 3rd card might be dealt depending on the following regulations:
- If the bettor or banker has a value of eight or 9, then both gamblers stand.
- If the gambler has five or lower, he/she hits. bettors stand otherwise.
- If player stands, the banker hits of five or less. If the gambler hits, a chart will be used to determine if the banker stands or hits.
Baccarat Odds
The greater of the two scores is the winner. Successful wagers on the banker payout 19 to twenty (even odds less a five percent commission. Commission is tracked and cleared out when you leave the table so ensure you have $$$$$ remaining before you leave). Bets on the player that end up winning pay 1 to 1. Winner bets for tie usually pays 8 to 1 but occasionally 9 to one. (This is a terrible gamble as ties will happen lower than 1 every 10 hands. be cautious of placing bets on a tie. Even so odds are far better – 9 to one versus eight to one)
When played effectively, baccarat provides fairly good odds, away from the tie wager of course.
Baccarat Tactics
As with just about every games, Baccarat has some well-known misunderstandings. One of which is similar to a misconception of roulette. The past is never actually a predictor of future results. Keeping track of last results on a chart is simply a complete waste of paper as well as a slap in the face for the tree that gave its life for our stationary needs.
The most accepted and probably most successful strategy is the one-3-two-six concept. This method is used to magnify successes and reducing risk.
Begin by wagering 1 unit. If you win, add one more to the two on the table for a total of three on the 2nd bet. If you win you will have six on the table, remove four so you have 2 on the 3rd wager. If you win the third bet, add 2 to the four on the table for a total of six on the 4th wager.
If you lose on the 1st bet, you suck up a loss of one. A win on the first bet followed by loss on the 2nd creates a loss of two. Wins on the first 2 with a loss on the third gives you a profit of two. And wins on the first three with a loss on the 4th mean you come out even. Coming away with a win on all four bets leaves you with 12, a profit of ten. Thus that you can lose the second bet 5 times for every successful streak of 4 bets and still break even.
