Baccarat Principles
Baccarat chemin de fer is enjoyed with eight decks in a dealing shoe. Cards under ten are counted at face value and with Ten, Jack, Queen, King are zero, and Ace is one. Wagers are placed on the ‘bank’, the ‘player’, or on a tie (these are not actual people; they simply represent the 2 hands that are dealt).
Two hands of two cards are then dealt to the ‘bank’ and ‘player’. The score for each hand is the sum total of the two cards, however the 1st digit is dumped. For example, a hand of 5 and 6 has a score of 1 (five plus six equals 11; ignore the 1st ‘one’).
A 3rd card could be given based on the following rules:
- If the gambler or bank achieves a total of eight or 9, both players stand.
- If the player has 5 or less, she takes a card. Players stays otherwise.
- If the gambler stands, the house takes a card on a total less than five. If the gambler takes a card, a table is used to figure out if the bank stays or takes a card.
Baccarat Odds
The higher of the two hands wins. Winning wagers on the house pay out 19:20 (even money less a 5% commission. Commission are recorded and cleared out once you depart the table so be sure to still have money left over just before you depart). Winning bets on the player pays one to one. Winning bets for tie usually pay 8:1 but on occasion 9:1. (This is a bad wager as ties occur less than 1 in every ten hands. Be cautious of putting money on a tie. Although odds are astonishingly greater for nine to one vs. 8:1)
Wagered on properly baccarat banque offers fairly good odds, apart from the tie bet of course.
Punto Banco Method
As with all games baccarat chemin de fer has a handful of familiar misunderstandings. One of which is the same as a false impression in roulette. The past isn’t a prophecy of future outcomes. Keeping track of past outcomes at a table is a bad use of paper and a snub to the tree that was cut down for our stationary desires.
The most familiar and likely the most successful method is the one-three-two-six technique. This plan is deployed to build up earnings and minimizing risk.
Begin by betting one chip. If you win, add 1 more to the two on the table for a grand total of three chips on the second bet. Should you succeed you will now have 6 on the game table, pull off 4 so you keep two on the third bet. Should you succeed on the third round, add 2 to the 4 on the game table for a sum total of six on the 4th round.
Should you do not win on the 1st bet, you take a loss of 1. A win on the 1st round followed by a hit on the second brings about a hit of 2. Wins on the 1st two with a defeat on the 3rd gives you with a gain of 2. And wins on the first 3 with a defeat on the 4th means you balance the books. Succeeding at all 4 bets leaves you with twelve, a profit of ten. This means you are able to not win on the 2nd bet five times for every successful run of 4 rounds and still balance the books.
